I would rather call this article Parameters for Moisture Measurement

Author: Hans-Jürgen Schwarz

back to Moisture Maybe rather Material Moisture Content?

Key parameters

Commonly used parameters are:

  • Mass related moisture content
  • Volume related moisture content
  • Saturation humidity: maximum capillary moisture content /absorption at atmospheric pressure or vacuum (by immersion)
  • Equilibrium moisture content: moisture absorption due to hygroscopicity
  • Maximum degree of pore filling
  • Hygroscopicity related degree of pore filling
